My name is Ashly Taylor Savoie, though people usually just call me crazy. I don’t know what that means these days when violent outbursts are the norm and you’re constantly on the run. Still people think I’m the crazy one…I don’t understand.

i really like that name. so how old are you, and when were you born?

I was born in 1996. I turned 17 right before the bombs hit. Happy birthday, right?

lovely. so it's the end of the world, who do you belong to?

I suppose I’m a civilian. I’m not religious by any stroke of the imagination and if I was I can’t see myself killing people to purify the world or some bull shit. Still they won’t let me help in the effort…I wish they’d let me do something though. I can do so much but they all think I’m insane…

that sounds just great. now in one word, how would you describe yourself?

I guess, insane. I don’t like it when people call me crazy though I do almost see their point…I’m stuck in my own world…sometimes I just can’t wake up from it…I do weird things…but it’s not my fault…

uh-huh, any big historic events you'd like to share?

I was in Vermont when the bombs hit. They killed my family and knocked me unconscious and left me in critical condition. The doctor told me I was lucky to be alive…but I can’t remember a lot…I was hit on the head really hard and lost a lot of my memories…and I black out a lot. I don’t know who saved me…after the first week I was taken in no one would come forward and claim they saved me…nobody wanted to be accountable for saving the girl who screams in her sleep or has random outbursts of unrelated emotion…nobody cares anymore.
